Shopping (Spring 2013)

Students in this 15 session Conversation Center learned to describe furniture and clothing in Hebrew. The hands-on shopping experience culminated with students preparing advertisements and operating a mock store for family and friends.
Basketball Clinic (Winter 2013)

Students in this 6 session clinic had a chance to build both Hebrew and basketball skills under the tutelage of coach Ido Singer. By the end of the module, students could follow instructions given completely in Hebrew and use the language to communicate with each other during the games.
Breakfast Club (Winter 2013)

This Sunday morning club attracted over 20 students on the first day of registration. Students in 4-6th grades learned to prepare a variety of breakfast foods and holiday treats (Purim/Passover) during the 8 session class.
Cooking (Winter 2013)

The Mercaz Sicha at CRS gained such popularity that we operated the cooking class in two sections. 7th graders prepared a variety of Israeli foods from Hebrew recipes, culminating with a celebratory ice cream social.

This Conversation Center was a popular introductory option for the JJP's opening semester, no prior Hebrew experience required. Students in 4th grade experienced both sports and cooking modules in ten weeks.

Mercaz Sicha was open to eligible 7th graders who committed to regular attendance throughout the module. The club was very popular in it's first incarnation at CRS.
